ALICE COOPER RETURNS FOR A HISTORIC NIGHT IN SÃO PAULO! ONLY ONE PERFORMANCE!
ALICE COOPER
The year was 1974 when what became known as “the first great rock concert in Brazil” took place. And the person responsible for this feat was Alice Cooper, who would become one of the greatest references for rockers of various generations. Half a century later and after a few other visits to the country, Cooper, now 77 years old, is back for a historic performance at Best of Blues and Rock, full of classics and his theatrical inventions that make each show a unique experience.
Alice Cooper's band was formed in high school in Phoenix, USA, and discovered in 1969 by Frank Zappa in Los Angeles, where they signed a record deal with his label. In LA, they partnered with then-young music producer Bob Ezrin, recording the successful album Love It to Death, which reached the charts in 1971, followed by Killer, School's Out, Billion Dollar Babies and Muscle of Love. Each new release was accompanied by an even bigger and more elaborate tour.
But it was in 1975, with the release of his first solo album, Welcome to My Nightmare, that Alice Cooper began the tour of the same name, exploring theatrical elements, mostly inspired by horror films.
Since then, one of the pioneers of Hard Rock has been performing great shows and attracting a huge fan base. For this performance in Brazil, the audience can expect great classics, such as “Poison”, “School's Out”, “Feed My Frankenstein”, “No More Mr. Nice Guy”, among many others. Currently, Cooper's band is formed by guitarists Ryan Roxie, Nita Strauss and Tommy Henriksen, as well as bassist Chuck Garric and drummer Glen Sobel.

DAVE MATTHEWS BAND

HALF A CENTURY OF HISTORY IN ONE EPIC NIGHT IN SÃO PAULO!
DEEP PURPLE
Some say that the royalty of Heavy Metal and Hard Rock are Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple. Well, it is the latter, still active and consolidated as one of the greatest bands of all time, that closes the Best of Blues and Rock 2025. The new visit of the icons of Rock to Brazil highlights their relationship with the country, always selling out tickets in every city they visit.
There are no adjectives that can describe Deep Purple’s contribution to rock music. Having sold over 100 million albums and sold out arenas globally for decades, it’s no wonder that respected UK radio station Planet Rock named them the “5th Most Influential Band of All Time.” Deep Purple also received the “Legend Award” at the 2008 World Music Awards and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016.
In 2024, Deep Purple announced a new studio album, titled “=1”. The record evokes the band’s classic sound without relying on nostalgia, with its enigmatic title symbolizing the idea that in an increasingly complex world, everything eventually simplifies into a single, unified essence. Everything is equal to one.
With three members of the classic line-up, established in the 1960s, Ian Gilan (vocals), Ian Paice (drums) and Roger Glover (bass), as well as Simon McBride (guitar) and Don Airey (keyboard), Deep Purple comes to Brazil once again to showcase its entire repertoire of great classics, such as “Highway Star”, “Burn”, “Perfect Strangers”, “Child in Time”, and of course, “Smoke on the Water”, with its riff that is already part of the unconscious of all rockers around the world.

FOR THE FIRST TIME IN BRAZIL, THE LEGENDARY BRITISH SOUND THAT MARKED GENERATIONS
A native of Wigan, England, Ashcroft first gained attention with The Verve, a band founded in 1989, with whom he released one of the biggest albums of the time, entitled "Urban Hymns" (the 18th best-selling UK album of all time).

The album is full of classics that influenced the Britpop and British rock scene, from Oasis to Coldplay, and that continue to be the main attractions of his live set list to this day, including "The Drugs Don't Work", "Bittersweet Symphony", "Lucky Man" and "Sonnet".

In his first phase as frontman of The Verve, Ashcroft was recognized by specialized critics as a kind of: "spiritual descendant of rock icons like Mick Jagger and Jim Morrison".

Responsible for songs that rocked a generation of fans and musicians in the 1990s, Richard Ashcroft is a two-time winner of the important British Ivor Novello award, in the categories of Songwriter of the Year in 1998 and Outstanding Contribution to British Music in 2019.

Apart from The Verve, Richard Ashcroft has released five Top 5 solo albums in the British charts, including the debut album, "Alone With Everybody". His most recent work, "Acoustic Hymns", was released in 2022 and reached number two on the UK Albums Chart.
